During the Alleem Business Congress, our cross-cultural adaptation consultant, Clint Smith was privileged to give a half-day training on adapting leadership styles to meet the challenges of a multi-cultural workforce. Topics covered included the nature of culture, cultural barriers to clear communication, different cultural styles of leadership, and different aspects of culture that cause conflict – such as time, communication, personal space and individualism vs. collectivism. Participants were helped to see how their personal cultural background differed from that of those with whom they work.
